desh (EMS), a 23-year-old new-
spaper dedicated to Nishads,
news about the community is
not only on its website but also
on YouTube, mobile app,
WhatsApp and Facebook gro-
ups. The move has come handy
for the Nirbal Indian Shoshit
Hamara Aam Dal (NISHAD)
party, the political party dedi-
cated to the community.
“When most people can’t
read or write it is the power of
digital media based on voice
and visuals that helps,” said
the president of NISHAD par-
ty Sanjay Nishad, adding that
the younger lot gets the digital
message easily.
The newspaper, inaugura-
ted in Aligarh in 1996 by Phoo-
lan Devi, a Nishad, carries no
news other than that on Nis-
hads, be it local, political or na-
tional. More than 90% of its 50-
odd reporters are Nishads, in-
cluding two women based
each in Loni (Ghaziabad) and
Sonbhadra. It now commits al-
legiance to the NISHAD party.
“We will go with what the
party decides. We are commit-
ted to telling our community
the ground reality to enable
them to take the right decision
when it comes to their vote,”
said Jaswant Singh Nishad,
who established the newspa-
per and is the editor. On the di-
gital channels of the newspa-
per, the slogan ‘Gareebi ek bi-
mari hai, aarakshan iski da-
waai hai (poverty is a disease,
reservation is the cure)’ is pro-
minently displayed ahead of
the general elections.)

एकलव्य मानव संदेश का डिजिटल रूप मेरे सबसे छोटे बेटे कमल सिंह निषाद (स्टूडेंट ऑफ बीटेक मेकेनिकल ब्रांच फ्रॉम अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विष्वविद्यालय, अलीगढ़, उत्तर प्रदेश) ने 16 अप्रैल 2017 को प्रारंभ किया था। इसकी वेवसाईट, यूट्यूब चैनल, मोबाइल ऐप, सभी कमल सिंह निषाद ने ही तैयार करके अपनी शिक्षा के दौरान ही समाज को जागरूक करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है।
एकलव्य मानव संदेश के सभी रिपोर्टर और सहयोगियों की मेहनत अब 2019 में रंग लाती दिख रही है। आज इसी की बदौलत सभी पार्टियों को निषाद वोट की ताकत समझ आने लगी है। 16 दिसम्बर 2016 की रमाबाई अम्बेडकर पार्क लखनऊ में आयोजित लगभग 4 से 5 लाख निषादों की निषाद पार्टी द्वारा आयोजित रैली को जिस मीडिया ने तरजीह नहीं दी थी और उस समय एक ही साधान हमारे पास था एकलव्य मानव संदेश हिंदी साप्ताहिक समाचार पत्र जिसकी अलीगढ़ से 50000 कॉपी छाप कर पूरे उत्तर प्रदेश में भेजी गई थीं। और निषाद क्रांति को मजबूती प्रदान की गई थी, आज वही मीडिया हम सब की मेहनत को पहचान गया है।
